미국 갈 때 코로나 백신 접종이 필수인지? (2021년 12월 30일 기준)

1. 일단 미 국무부 (U.S. Department of State) 사이트 상 비자신청 시 필수 백신 접종 항목에서 COVID 19 백신은 명시되어 있지 않다. (참고링크: Medical Examinations FAQs (state.gov))

2. 다만 미 보건사회복지부 (U.S. Department of Health & Human Services) 에서 운영하는 Centers for Disease Control and Prevention 사이트에서는 non-U.S. citizen에 대해 미국 여행 시 COVID 19 백신 접종증명서를 필수로 제출하게 하고 있다. 더불어 2살 이상의 모든 비행기 탑승객은 COVID 19 검사 결과 음성 여부를 받아야 함. • If you are a non-U.S. citizen who is a nonimmigrant (not a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, or traveling to the United States on an immigrant visa), you will need to show proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before you travel by air to the United States from a foreign country.
• Some categories of noncitizen, nonimmigrants are excepted from this requirement. If you meet the criteria for one of these categories, you will need to fulfill additional requirements to travel by air to the United States.
• At this time, all air passengers ages 2 or older, regardless of citizenship or vaccination status, must show a negative result of a COVID-19 viral test or documentation of recovery from COVID-19 before they board a flight to the United States.
